Jobs Detail:

Under then Guidance of the WASH Officer, Conducts Periodical water samplings from water sources which are being for water tankering, determines the suitability of this water for human consumptions,.
Conducts water quality tests onsite and in the Laboratories to determine the suitability of water for human consumption.
Offer feasible and cost effective water treatment of water sources.
Prepare detailed weekly water quality reports and submit to WASH Officer.
Responsible for good operation of the water testing Kit.
Responsible for maintaining stocks of water testing reagents.
Responsible of preparation of technical specifications of the reagents and testing kits to be procured.

Specification:

A Diploma in Bio Chemistry or Public Health Engineering.
Relevant experience in water quality laboratory testings preferably from Urban water supply company.
Diplomacy and tact, to be able to liaise and negotiate with government officials, UN and other agency staff, and with local artisans and community representatives.
An ability and willingness to work in a remote setting and under pressure.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good health, and the ability and flexibility to work under difficult conditions and often under pressure are essential.

Masters in Public Health Social sciences with a bias in health or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

B) Experience: Required:

2-3 years experience in NGO working in a similar position.
Practical knowledge of emergency response
Knowledge of hygiene and sanitation education activities

C) Technical Skills Required:

Job Detail:

Build strategic relationships with key stakeholders in the field of Community Health

Meetings and visits with relevant and significant organizations & all stake holders including Government agencies( Ministry of Health & Population Welfare) in the field of Public health
To represent Care in all health and wash cluster meetings at Provincial & district levels
Close coordination with EDO(health) of all districts on regular basis for planning and reporting of Care activities
Ensure that partners also coordinate and inform the EDO of all health districts
Coordination with all vertical Program (AIDS, TB, Malaria etc ) at provincial & district level

IV. Qualifications (Know How)
