Samaritan’s Purse is a non-profit, Christian organisation providing emergency relief and development assistance to suffering people around the world. Today they are widely known for Operation Christmas Child, a program that has seen more than 77 million gift-filled shoe boxes hand delivered to children worldwide. These shoe boxes open up opportunities for further community based ministry, empowering local churches and partners to provide safe water, education, vocational training and other essentials to help children, families and communities in great need.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director the Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for donor acquisition, cultivation and retention through the development of marketing and fundraising campaigns, and programs to fulfil the Mission of Samaritan’s Purse in Australia and New Zealand.
The organisation is seeking to appoint an innovative manager to build on the solid foundation that has been put in place. The successful candidate will bring with them their own set of unique skills and talents to this exciting role.
The successful candidate will demonstrate a proven track record of success in a key senior marketing or fundraising management role where they have effectively planned and delivered highly effective marketing and communications strategies.
We are looking for an astute servant leader who is strongly aligned to the values of this Christian organisation, who has the ability to influence others, to facilitate change and build excellent relationships with key stakeholders both internally and externally.
You are a team player who possesses excellent people skills, is organised, methodical and has professional experience in using the web, radio, video, print and social media to build and engage a strong supporter base.
The role requires an understanding of the Christian landscape in Australia and New Zealand.
As part of a global organisation it is essential to coordinate international relationships and travel both domestically and internationally on a regular basis.
